Japan is always a good idea. Especially, when it is the Sakura season! This was a commisioned assignment by Parlo Tours to travel with our local Malaysian celebrity Jianghan (颜江瀚) who was accompanied by Zhen Ru to Japan on a tour of the Honshu region. We went to a few areas for our documentary; namely Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto for this series of travelogue photos. It’s a revisit for me to some of these places but it feels a little different with the Sakura season.
This also marks the first time that I am using both my Nikon cameras and iPhone X for work. Most of the photos are taken with my Nikon but some of these were taken with my iPhone. iPhone are great to work with during broad daylight. Not so much so during low light situation but the result are still satisfactory. The night sakura at Meguro River was taken with the iPhone.
First time ever we have done a collaboration series like this. Jianghan and Zhen Ru were a joy to work with. Thank you Parlo Tour for the well-planned trip.
