A few months ago, Thomas & Jenelle flew in from the UK to tie the knot in the tropical setting of Malaysia. The couple selected Malaysia for the wedding because Jenelle’s mother was Malaysian, and this was like a way to reconnect with her roots. They also had their family and friends flew in from the UK and Australia to join them on this special occasion.
In the morning, there was a little Chinese tradition of fetch-the-bride. Just some simple games of questionnaires and Cheezels-gobbling by the groom entourage to have a little bit of fun. Definitely a new experience for most of the groom entourage.

The wedding was themed around wild ginger flowers in particular the torch ginger flower. The torch ginger (known in Malay as Bunga Kantan) is a tropical flower that is a popular ingredient in Malay cuisine. And to complete the full Malaysian experience, they selected Subak Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur with a rainforest setting to go along with the theme. And they also have a tasting booth with cuisine cooked with ginger and ginger flowers.
Many thanks to Rose Kuruvilla, the wedding planner from Never Ending Ideas for bringing together such an excellent team for this wedding and had everything planned to perfection.
I would also like to bid farewell to 2014 and I will definitely try to post more photos as I have loads of unposted weddings. Wishing 2015 will be a better year for everyone and hope to meet more of you funtastic couples in 2015! Stay safe and healthy, and be strong for whatever that’s coming our way!
